On March 1, 2023, Destiny 3 set a new record for concurrent players. It’s exactly 316,651 players, according to data from Steam Charts, a website that tracks player count in popular games on Steam.

As such, Destiny 2 officially broke its previous record in September 2019, when this game was first available on Steam. That record number is exactly 292,314 players (also according to Steam Charts).

We’re not too surprised to see a spike in Destiny 2 players as it just released its Lightfall and Season of Defiance expansion on February 28, 2023.
